I'm still not sure which ride was more terrifying? Oblivion really challenged my whole phobia of heights (I don't think I'm allowed to say I'm scared of heights anymore) and it was made all the more frightening on the second go when the guy in the seat next to me was kind enough to ask if my harness was loose too. However, Submission had the whole effect of "the harness is so tight I can't feel my legs anymore, yet I swear I slipped in the seat". Not an entirely comforting thought when you're suspended above a pit of bricks.
I'm very much looking forward to going back. More importantly, I'm looking forward to going back with my God Child who is due in August; I need a bad excuse to go on the Nutty Squirrel Ride and play with the other kids stuff. In fact, I'm quite looking forward to my God Child being born; apparently I do actually possess the ability to be gooey over a kid when it's my oldest friends kid (oldest in terms of how long I've known her; ironically she is the youngest of my friends in terms of age). Still, don't go expecting me to pop, because I'm still positive that I'm not having kids of my own.
The only downer for the holiday was going to the Lake District and realising we didn't have enough pocket change to actually do anything! Nothing quite ruins a good plan to go hill walking than a pay and display car park in the middle of nowhere. Aside from a lack of change, it severly detracts from the experience when you're forced to perform an otherwise relaxing activity whilst watching the clock to ensure you get back in time to not get a parking fine. Stupid England!
Anyway, back in Edinburgh and have five days left of holiday. Got a castle and dungeons to see, a Falkirk Wheel to visit, and two essays to write for University course thingy.

Dancing in the rain. The sky is turning black. These are the days that I love.
